1. If I choose the monthly payment, is that for 12 months?

The subscription is for as long as you’d like to stay in the membership with access to the group, lessons and leads. So you can cancel after the first month if you decide it’s not your thing, or we hope you stay and enjoy our community for as long as it works for you.

2. How many hours does the NDIS Admin course take to get through?

It's really hard to say as it depends on if you need/want to watch ALL the videos. It's designed to be like a reference library so you can go in and find the info/lessons you need when you need them. But to give you a ballpark, there are 5 main modules with approx 8hrs total videos (most vids are around 10mins each), plus the call replays which are approx an hour each (but not necessary to watch all of these).

3. Do I need to be a bookkeeper to do this work?

No, you do NOT need to be qualified as a bookkeeper. I'm certainly not!

You can still do invoicing and all the things we talk about in the lessons without being a bookkeeper, but you can also pick and choose the services you want to do. One of the benefits of our group now is that you can always refer or subcontract the tasks you don't offer and keep the rest for yourself.

4. I'm interested but not sure if it would benefit me yet, given that I am a brand new VA?

I agree that it can be helpful to learn just about the "starting a VA business" phase first. There are a number of trainers and mentors that can help with that side of things. The main ones I know of are: Seed Virtual Assistants, The VA Institute and The VA Lead Network. We'll be opening the doors again throughout the year, so if you're not quite ready just keep following our socials for updates.

5. Is the training self paced or are there scheduled calls?

The training in the NDIS VA Success Hub is very much self paced. There is a live call on different topics every 2 weeks (the day of the week varies) and they are always recorded so if you can't make it, you can watch it after.

You can ask questions anytime in the Facebook group or via email too.

6. Is it possible to offer NDIS Admin services if I only have limited hours available or only on evenings and weekends?

The hours and time of day varies a lot from one client to the next depending on their needs and what services you are doing for them. There are definitely some that you can do outside business hours, especially the more behind the scenes billing and admin. And in some smaller businesses, after hours is the best time to talk to the owner when they’re finished with clients.

It's definitely possible to find a few clients that only need a few hours per week. We have some that only need a couple of hours per month! We have one that needs around 20 hours per week and then everything in between.

It may get tricky if you don't have any availability during business hours for the occasional check in call or last minute request, but some clients are also fine if the expectations are set up front of your available hours.

7. There are offshore VA companies offering these services - why would a provider consider working with a local Aussie VA for NDIS services versus a cheaper offshore option?

I totally understand the concern with competing with the cheap offshore VAs. And yes there are some NDIS Providers using these services, but the nice thing about the Allied Health and Disability space is that there is a VERY strong culture of protecting people's privacy and having all communications be clear and effective, which often translates to Australian data storage, and Australian staff. I find there are 2 main types of business owners: the ones who are there to make money and so are very conscious of costs as a high priority, and the ones who prioritise the care and support of their participants, who understand that paying for admin support from a local who understands the ins and outs of the NDIS and the needs of NDIS participants is worth every penny.

8. Do you offer training to existing NDIS Provider business/admin staff regarding NDIS admin?

Yes we do! There are 2 options, depending on your needs.

There is a self paced online course that covers systems, intake, claiming/invoicing, and follow up and tracking of funding and outstanding issues. 07 There are offshore VA companies offering these services - why would a provider consider working with a local Aussie VA for NDIS services versus a cheaper offshore option?

I totally understand the concern with competing with the cheap offshore VAs. And yes there are some NDIS Providers using these services, but the nice thing about the Allied Health and Disability space is that there is a VERY strong culture  of protecting people's privacy and having all communications be clear and effective, which often translates to Australian data storage, and Australian staff. I find there are 2 main types of business owners: the ones who are there to make money and so are very conscious of costs as a high priority, and the ones who prioritise the care and support of their participants, who understand that paying for admin support from a local who understands the ins and outs of the NDIS and the needs of NDIS participants is worth every penny.
